In an unexpected move, Gandalf, formerly known as Gandalf the Grey, also known as Gandalf the White, made a surprise appearance on "Good Morning Middle-Earth" earlier today to talk about the rumors that GOP Senator Dane Hamilton was born in Hawaii and not The Shire.
Appearing as a cloud of white on the set, Gandalf boomed, "Those who defile the good Hobbit Senator from Tuckborough will deal with Gandalf the White!", as he interrupted Moira Clayhanger's "What's cooking, Arda?" segment.
As the cloud dissipated, Gandalf appeared, initially displeased. He quickly turned his frown upside down at the sight of the chef's feast.
"Good morrow, fair one!" Gandalf embraced the tiny chef as she nervously laughed. "My apologies for frightening you - I thought I was crashing the news segment."
After exchanging a few pleasantries with Moria and guest co-host Kelly Ripa, Gandalf sat down with the two over breakfast and lamented the situation about Hobbit Senator Hamilton, the looming fiscal cliff occurring in the United States, and why he can't find a good cup of coffee in Middle-Earth.
The complete interview is now online at "Good Morning, Middle-Earth".
