I woke up like any other day, it was a cloudy day. I turned on the computer and I saw an article on Yahoo! that sad two people had been shot at an elementary school. I read the link, but as I work at an elementary school, I wanted to know more about the story. I turned on CNN and watched it until I had to be at work. I will never forget the anchors giving the update of 10 children to 18 children. I was making lunch and dropped what I was holding and broke down. I couldn't stop crying. Getting for work and going to work was really hard. When I got there I was talking about it with my co-workers and it was all I could do not to start crying again. When the students came, I gave them each a big smile and let them know how happy I was to see them. While we were in the gym later in the day I was watching them play and had to turn to wipe the tears away. It was a hard day. I also thought about those amazing teachers. They inspire me to be a better person. I have been crying for them since yesterday and I feel like it happened closer to me. I think that is how a lot of people feel right now. They feel like it happened to them. That is why I love America, we can come together despite are differences and help.
