Christmas greetings with excerpts from the Global Day of Prayer Intercessory Prayer for the World originally in commemoration of Pentecost Sunday, the day the Holy Spirit began a new relationship with followers of Jesus Christ.
Today, I commemorate Christmas Day, the Holy Birth of Christ Jesus with the Prayer for the World now in memorium for the people of Newtown. We ask the Lord God, Holy Trinity to bless us with a fresh outpouring of His mercy & grace to fill the whole world in commemoration of His Birth.
Almighty God, Father, Son & Holy Spirit, we glorify You as Creator of Heaven & earth. You alone are Holy & Righteous; we submit to Your authority & we praise & adore You alone Lord God.
Father, we honor You, Lord Jesus Christ, we honor You, Holy Spirit, we honor You.
Father in Heaven, we thank You for loving the world so much that You gave Your only Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins so that we could be reconciled to You. Fill us with Your love Father as we faithfully intercede for the innocent especially the children, the lost, the lonely, the hopeless & helpless &, also the animals of the world. We thank You Father for adopting us into Your family.
Father of mercy & grace, our world is gripped by the power of sin; our hearts are grieved by injustice & violence; we are shamed by oppression in our families, racism, fear, pain & bloodshed throughout the world; our homes are broken, our churches are divided by rebellion, pride & ignorance. God, our lives are polluted by selfishness, greed, idolatry of other gods & sexual sin. God of mercy, forgive us, pour out Your grace & heal our land Father Lord God.

Lord Jesus Christ, today we celebrate Your birth, Lord we pray for all the babies of the world that you keep them safe. You lived amongst us & You taught us everything & You died on the cross Lord Jesus, You redeemed us to the Father by Your blood. You are Head of the Church Jesus & Lord of Heaven & Earth; Lord Jesus, let your Kingdom be established in every nation of the world,
bring transformation of the people so that righteousness & justice will prevail. Lord, may your name be great from the rising of the sun to its setting. Jesus, You are Lord of all. You destroyed sin, conquered death & defeated Satan, remove the veil of darkness from Your people Lord, restrain the evil that promotes violence & death everywhere.
Lord Jesus, deliver us from demonic oppression & break the hold of slavery, tyranny & disease. Help us Lord to tear down strongholds & ideologies that resist the knowledge of God.

Holy Spirit of the Living God, transform Your Church into the image of Jesus Christ, release Your power to bring safety to the innocent children, healing to the sick, freedom to the oppressed & comfort to those who mourn; fill us with compassion for the hurting, the lonely, the homeless, the hungry, orphans, widows, widowers, the separated & divorced, the elderly & disabled; Holy Spirit, give us Your wisdom & insight to help with our world's problems that we may use the resources of the earth for the well-being of all. Holy Spirit, guide us & lead us.

Almighty God, deliver us from evil; King of Glory, come & finish Your work in our homes, cities, nations, continents & islands; we cry Lord & we lift up our heads to You as we open our hearts that the King of Glory may come in, & we say “come fill the earth Lord with the knowledge of Your mercy & glory as we say Amen”...& to one another, “May the peace of Christ be with you always”.... we respond....”& also with you brother & sister”.....
