My friend was killed accidentally by a gun misfiring when I was 12. Not only did this event haunt me for 50 years now, I have never been able to approve of gun possession. I suppose it would cause us to give up some sort of right? right? I wonder how much trauma must we as a nation endure to realize that mindless attacks by our unhinged neighbors will continue to be the price of our freedom if we cannot control our obsession with personal demands that we term as 'rights.'
