Ever since the massacre in Newtown Connecticut where twenty children and six staff where gun down. Now many people support tougher gun laws. By banning gun won't bring crime rates down or stop another massacre to at other schools.
Britain a country who has one strictest gun control laws in the world. The UK's has the highest murder rate than any other country in the EU. Yet they still have a violent crime rats are high. Piers Morgan says that there has been no massacre since Britain Gun Ban in back in 1997. But look at the Cumbria Shootings in 2010 were killed twelve people and injured eleven or that doesn't count as a massacre. Derrick Bird who was responsible the massacre only used a blot action rifle and double barrel shotgun not a assult weapon.
Look at Columbine in 1999 when there was Assault Weapons ban. Still these two seniors used TEC-9 that was fully automatic with a high fire rate. They got these weapons off the black market and killed thirteen innocent people. People are worried about AR-15s that are semi-automatic weapons that they get legally. Most of them use them for self defense, hunting, target shooting and other legal actives .Just after the Newtown Connecticut Massacre as a mass stabbing had happened to in a Chinese Elementary School where a man stabbed twenty-two children. It’s not guns or even weapons that kill people. This shows people who are wielding these weapons and have a mindset to kill people.
The US doesn’t even have the highest homicide rates with firearms. Look at Thailand with 79.58 percent of murders happen with highest homicide rate with firearms in the world. People aren’t even allowed to semi-automatic weapons. Having tougher gun control laws won’t even change a thing. But by making people take a gun class before purchasing firearms and make them taking a mental evacuation but make acceptations for who served in the military and police officers. It has proven to work in countries like Israel where almost everyone has an assault weapons in their house hold.
