I was a classical guitar teacher for many decades until I went to pharmacy school. Just as a hobby, I sell handcrafted classical guitars at very close to cost just so serious students can get a quality instrument "basically" because I have a passion for the instrument. I don't have enough sales for a real commercial discount. I am being told it is about 10,000 shipping per month. For many years it was about 100 dollars to ship a guitar over most of Europe. Today, If I go to my local Post office to ship it is about 500 dollars AND LOWER COST SHIPPING HAS BEEN ELIMINATED. "Clearly" not realistic, not intended to generate business AND MOST LIKELY INTENTIONALLY DESIGNED TO UNDERMINE THE POST OFFICE. If I had a commercial discount with a carrier it would be a bout 60-90 dollars. Truly a killer for small home business. I found a round trip airfare for 149 dollars each way to Romania . It would be cheaper to hand deliver it !!!!IF SOMEONE FROM THE POST OFFICE READS THIS PLEASE EXPLAIN: IF CNN PICKS UP ON THIS, I THINK IT WOULD MAKE A GOOD STORY OR INVESTIGATIVE REPORT.
