The Teena Marie Tribute concert in Northern California sold out last year and The DejaVu Band, Featuring Carmen Jones is excited to do it again in Southern California! In honor of the late Teena Marie, also known as "The Ivory Queen of Soul", who died in 2010 of an epileptic seizure, Jones and her dynamic band will not only spread joy by performing Teena Marie's music, but the concert promoter will also be donating a portion of proceeds towards Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
On Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Alpine Village Event Center in Torrance, California, The headlining act, DejaVu Band, Featuring Carmen Jones will be paying Tribute to the legendary Teena Marie. Enjoy an evening of real funk music, with hit songs made popular by Marie, including "Square Biz", "Ooo La La La", "Lovergirl" and "Fire and Desire". The music filled night will begin with the Los Angeles voted #1 R&B & Soul band - DW3 "Down With Three" - performing all smash Top 40 hits of R&B.
