While living in China this past spring/summer we were approached many times and asked if the Chinese could take our photo. We found out that many Chinese have never seen a westerner and they seemed to want to capture thesighting with a photo. Often, they'd just want a photo of us, but in this photo they wanted to join us. Here we are at The Forbidden City with three young Chinese girls. To our surprise, when viewing the photo we found one girl giving the familiar "Victory" sign and Mao watching over my shoulder! Visiting China and living with these most gracious people was an experience of a lifetime.
