Fiscal Cliff Issue

First, I am an independent voter who has actually steered more toward Republican policies for many years. But with this in mind, I always focus myself on what needs to be done for the positive interests in the population of the USA, and I generally don't look at the political party of any politician, but at their focus and response on issues needed to be addressed.

In this "Fiscal Cliff" issue, I am now very upset with our government overall, but becoming mostly upset with the Republican leaders who give the image of promoting the best paths for our citizens and nation, but do not in any way compromise or negotiate with opposing Democrats.

I have seen many issues from both parties that sometimes make me see our future in a better way, but other times brings a serious concern into what our outcome will be, not because of a problem that needs to be addressed, but because our politicians seem to be so internally focused that they never bring themselves any more to any compromise from their opposing politicians.

Right now, I see that the Senate has at least compromised on tax law issues that they had said before they would not approve. I then see in the news that the House of Representatives (mostly Republican controlled) is saying that they do not support the law now passed in the Senate and only waiting on them to bring to law.

I certainly understand that they may want other issues addressed, but some of what they wanted has now been addressed, and they must step forward and bring this to reality.

Republicans and Democrats must come back to a political balance where they both open their hearts and their minds to negotiate, compromise and honestly discuss the issues with each other rather than acting like a barrier exists between them. If they cannot come to this kind of an existence, then I am convinced that we need to find some way to kick them all out of office and bring in people who will open their hearts for the people of America rather than simply tooting their own political ambitions and power.

This is enough said by me at the moment, and I honestly hope and pray that all of you politicians, both Democratic and Republican will finally come to work together as united Americans rather than opposite politicians.

Thank you, and have a good day.
