Dear Mayor Bloomberg and Commissioner Ray Kelley. Your stop and frisk policy has brought a great anxiety to the African American and Hispanic community. If there is a high crime area in the city, you should send in more police to protect and serve the innocent victims in that community. Instead you’ve done the complete opposite. You have given the police the authority to profile minorities, harass and publicly humiliate innocent young men who have done nothing wrong. In the name of law enforcement, you have collectively victimized ALL minorities for the sins of a few. We are Americans Mr. Mayor, not Palestinians living in an occupied territory. We the people have rights, which are enshrined in the constitution of the United States of America. And since you have chosen to terrorized young African American and Hispanic men, and since you have chosen to ignore our civil liberties, our rights as Americans, and undermine our freedoms in the name of law enforcement, we reserve the right to call you Mr. Mayor, and the commissioner of police, a bigot and a terrorist. Our rights as a people, are NOT subject to your opinion. The minority community is the only community who are collectively punished for crime. And now you are trying to convince us that this is the faith that we must endure to reduce crime. Well Mr Mayor, we do not feel safe or protected. We now have to look over one shoulder for the criminal, and look over the other shoulder for the police, who are suppose to protect and serve us. All you have done sir is to compounded the misery in our community and victimized everyone. You are showing your true colors as a republican. And the day you and commissioner Kelly leave office, is a day we will all say good riddance.
