Chicken can make your menu planning and cooking task easy. Everyone likes chicken so you can include it in your menu every time, even when you’re in a hurry. Poultry also cooks quickly so you don’t need to tenderize or boil it for long hours (unless you’re making a chicken stock). It also easily absorbs marinades, herbs and spices you season it with so you’re assured of the flavors that you want in a dish.

Best of all, chicken is a versatile ingredient in terms of cooking methods. When concocting easy chicken recipes, choose a cooking technique that does not take a lot of your time. Making fried chicken is the easiest chicken recipe to do—just season the chicken thighs and legs with salt and pepper then fry in hot oil. For fried chicken with a bit more crunch, dip them in beaten egg then dredge in flour or breadcrumbs before frying.

Stir-frying is another foolproof method for easy chicken recipes. Just cut the chicken breast fillets into small strips and throw it into your vegetable stir fry for a quick, protein-rich meal. Likewise, you can boil some chicken pieces, shred it and make the chicken fruit salad in our recipe collection below. Or add in some tangy pineapples to make it as pineapple chicken salad. The broth can be reserved for making chicken soup such as the creamy crockpot chicken and noodles soup.

Chicken is also great for barbecuing, which is an easy chicken recipe. Just marinade it in your favorite mix, heat the grill and barbecue them till tender and with a nice char on the edges and surface. For a dish with a bit of sauce, braise the chicken by cooking it with a broth, cream or tomato sauce until the liquid is reduced and thickened. Vegetables and aromatics may be added when braising or stewing this white meat.
