Querencia at Barton Creek retirement resort was recently awarded the Greystone Diamond Award, the company’s highest award, for distinctive service. Querencia was one of only four communities nationwide to be recognized as Diamond Award recipients in Greystone’s Distinctive Service Recognition Program. Greystone is one of the top developers of senior living communities in the nation.
“We are extremely proud of the entire team at Querencia and this outstanding accomplishment,” said Nate Weyand, executive director of Querencia. “Our community has only been opened for six years and to have achieved this high level of operation in that amount of time is unmatched. Our staff truly goes above and beyond to serve our residents, and we are so honored to be recognized with this award.”
To qualify for the Diamond Award, a community must meet stringent criteria on ten operational benchmarks. The operational benchmarks include resident satisfaction results, employee satisfaction results, first impression visits, financial stability, hospitality culture, task force participation, employee professional growth, leadership development, regulatory compliance and community accomplishments. Based on the results, the resident satisfaction survey stated that more than 90% of Querencia residents would refer their friends to live at the community and that same percentage would move to Querencia again if given the choice.
“Querencia is an outstanding example of how a senior living community should operate,” said Rick Cumberland, Senior Vice President, Management Services – Operations at Greystone. “Every level of care hit 100% occupancy several times within the last year. That is amazing and deserves to be recognized. It’s the team that really makes the difference and the teamwork that is going on at Querencia is top notch.”
