To Everything There Is a Season

I didn't plant one sunflower this year but was delighted after they started popping up all over the yard. The wild birds planted them for me. We keep the feeders full year around. Birds being birds will dine on the seeds then drop a few in order to assure saving or replanting for the future.
While the sunflowers are strong and tall the butterfly's, bee's and hummingbird's sip the blossom's nectur. As the flower heads dry and the large stems bend, the birds have a bountiful feast .Consuming as much as they can hold, they still take time to drop a few to the soil below.
