The United Nations Should Be Empowered To Act- No More Veto Power By Any Nation

The United States is pushing aside the United Nations. We are proceeding to war without the approval of the UN Security Council, where Russia and China have veto power.
This is similar to when the League of Nations collapsed after fascist Italy’s invasion of Abyssinia in 1935.
Many are asking why we don't take the Syrian issue before the United Nations.
The way the United Nations is structured currently, nothing of significance can be accomplished.
The U.S. has become the policeman of the World. Yes, we are the only super power and have the need to act when leaders such as Assad act in the way he has against his people.
Advanced civilizations need a policing agency that has the power to act when there is a need to act.
But does it always have to be the U.S. alone?
We have our own needs in this country that need to be addressed-jobs, infrastructure, research and exploration of space.
Let's change the U.N. to be more effective.
No one nation should have the ability to veto what is in the collective interest of the rest of the World unless it would violate fundamental human rights that are guaranteed.
In the movie, "The Day the Earth Stood Still", that advanced civilization had created a robot policeman, called 'Gort'.
He had complete control over the policing of their World and would act should any individual do something criminal.
The consequences of criminality were too horrible to risk, so no one did.
We need to share the cost with all nations and provide a police force within the U.N. that would be effective in addressing situations like Syria.
By making the U.N. the governing body and giving it power over international conflicts, we could all share the responsibility and cost of taking action in the future against brutal dictators and rogue nations.
