Syria- Choosing the Problematic Over the Disastrous

“We’ve cut back on education, we’ve cut back on nutrition programs, we’ve thrown kids off Head Start. We have billions to spend on a war, but no money to take care of the very pressing needs of the American people. That bothers me a lot,” Bernie said.
Who will pay for another military mission in the Middle East after 12 years and two wars in the volatile region?"
Senator Bernie Sanders ask two important questions.
My question to those opposed to this action against this brutal dictator who gassed innocent children is:
Shouldn't we choose the 'problematic' over the 'disastrous'?
What will happen if we don't act? We had to go back to Iraq a second time.
Also, to those that oppose the Syrian action:
Where were your voices when mine was raised against the Iraq War?
Where were your voices when I raised mine against what Wall Street did to our country?
And where are your voices when Corporations outsourced our good paying jobs to cheaper labor markets?
You're a little late to the party. Now you want a say. Fine. Consider this:
When something of importance like Syria makes it necessary to act, you oppose those actions because of what you now realize you didn't do before.
We must act on this one. To not act will only lead us to deal with Assad later.
I was in favor of Clinton's action in Bosnia.
I was for getting rid of Gaddafi.
Assad used gas, folks.
While I'm glad to see so many voices raised over this incident in Syria, those people that have recently awakened need to bring themselves up to speed with what they've missed until now.
Syria is not Iraq.
We need to take care of Assad and then have the conversation that we're beginning to have about where we want to go as a country.
Better jobs would be a good first chapter and then what role we want for America in the future.
And you can't embrace the future while clinging to the past.
The main question we should ask ourselves is what can we expect to happen to the World we live in when our country is the biggest arms supplier in the World?
