3 baby Loggerhead Turtles have washed ashore during a storm front that hit Rockingham in Western Australia early Monday morning.
The turtles were found and rescued from Warnbro Beach. They are estimated to be approximately 6 months old.
The storm combined with the cold water have exhausted them. The turtles also show signs of being bitten.
There are more than likey more exhausted Loggerhead Turtles washing ashore right now. If you find a Turtle, please pick it up from the beach, place it in a damp towel and contact the Naregebup Environment Centre on 9591 3077
The 3 Loggerheads are expected to recover withing 6-8 weeks and will be released north of Shark Bay in their natural habitat.
They are currently being cared for at the Rockingham Environment centre, Naragebup.
The Turtles have been named Tommy, Jack-Sparrow and Sam
