Commemoration of the Mohamed Mahmoud ST massacre
In the second anniversary of the Mohamed Mahmoud ST massacre that happened in 19th of November 2011 and left more than 50 protesters dead many political movements invited protesters to commemorate the massacre by protesting to demand that army and police members who are responsible for the killing of protesters being brought to trials.
2 years after the massacre none of the murderers who gave the orders to shoot protesters or executed these orders are convicted, most of them haven't been brought to trials in the first place and those who were trailed were freed and declared to be not guilty by the corrupted judicial system in Egypt, science then bigger massacres happened the biggest was the 14th of august massacre wen police and army attacked 2 sit-ins and many marches killing thousands of protesters according to the National Alliance for Supporting Legitimacy.
The National Alliance for Supporting Legitimacy invited Egyptians to join many protests in Alexandria on 19th of November to commemorate the massacre and one of them was a human chain in the sea road the most important road in the city the human chain was formed in Mahated El Raml district.
When I joined the human chain I found tens of protesters chanting against army and police brutality they demanded the end of militaristic ruling in Egypt and to bring all police and army members who are responsible for the killing of protesters to trials they also demanded the return of president Morsi to office .
The human chain that is shown in this ireport continued for about an hour and half before being ended after army and police started approaching the area I stayed in a nearby area and saw a huge convoy of joint army and police vehicles moving around the area searching for protesters but I couldn't film the convoy .
On my way home I filmed another convoy smaller but still big enough to show the terror that the coup authorities are performing against the Egyptian people, convoys like these are deployed in the main streets of Alexandria and ready to move and attack any protest but still people are forming protests on a daily basis as they get more and more determent to bring down the military coup and to bring the murderers to trials.
On the same day in Tahrir square 2 protesters were shot dead when police forces invaded the square and dispersed a protest that aimed to commemorate the Mohamed Mahmoud St massacre and were organized by independent movements some of them are the pro the 3rd of July coup.
Police also invaded the Azhar university campus on 20th of November and killed at least one student and injured scores of students and left the campus after arresting many protesters.
