Hello from the SoCal high desert. We had a beautiful day with some wind, sprinkles & beautiful clouds. There is a storm rolling into California. There has been rain & snow in Northern California & now moving down to Southern California. We are supposed to get wind & rain & maybe SNOW down to about 5000' tonight & through Saturday. We live at the NW end of town at about 4500' so fingers crossed we will get a bit too. Always fun in Small Amounts!!
The old tree in our front yard still stands, without leaves, after the Palm tree next to it was struck by lightning & burned several years ago. The Birds love this tree & if you look close you can see some sitting & watching the clouds roll in today.
The mountains are the back side of Joshua Tree National Park. I bet they will have snow by morning.
Severe weather & hail being reported in Antelope Valley just NW of us as we speak, on the Channel 4 News, Los Angeles. (5:33pm Thursday 11/2l)
I'll put pics & video on tomorrow if we get snow.
By the way note in Photo 5, I just noticed there is a Lion relaxing on the mountain & looking back at me taking the photo. (left lower :) There are so many great rock formations all around this area.
