Love Thy Neighbor?

I’m writing as a concerned citizen of the state of North Carolina, in regards to a serious injustice that has been allowed to continue on for the past 38 years. This injustice has been ignored by the state of North Carolina and one could even argue that it has been intentionally suppressed by the state in an effort to cover up the serious corruption which has coexisted alongside.
Thirty-eight years ago a man was convicted by a jury that was not of his peers and sentenced to two concurrent consecutive life sentences, with absolutely no evidence linking him to the crimes.
From the very beginning, this man’s constitutional rights have been violated in every possible way and despite providing compelling evidence the state continuously denies him of his rights. From the biased and contaminated eye witness testimony, to numerous Brady Violations as exculpatory evidence was withheld, the state continues to allow this injustice.
The agents of the state of North Carolina committed perjury and to this day have not been held accountable for such actions. The NC Supreme Court heard the case, was provided the evidence to support the accusations against the state, and came to a 3-3 tie decision. The seventh judge declined to vote due to his upcoming retirement.
The corruption involved in this injustice would be unbelievable if it were not for the supporting evidence. It almost seems like a movie or book plot but unfortunately it is a real man’s life that has been taken from him.
But how does an economically disadvantaged man fight the corrupt judicial system of the state of North Carolina? He and his family have grown weary seeking help while having their lives threatened due to the possible exposure of some extremely wealthy individuals who are behind this corruption.
I’ve decided to help this man in his fight for justice because I believe in God and this country was founded on the basis that “In God We Trust.” I am not related to this man, nor did I know him when this first occurred in 1976. I am merely doing what is right; I am loving my neighbor as I love myself.
I’m asking you, “What would you do if it was your brother?”
When will the right person, the person who has the power and the resources necessary, take a stand against the corruption in the state of North Carolina? When will those involved in the corruption be exposed and stopped? Will the state of North Carolina ever have equal justice for ALL?
I will continue writing until action is taken to rectify the injustice and expose the corruption that has been done by the state of North Carolina, to Mr. Ronnie Wallace Long.
Mr. Long’s complete story, written by his current attorney, can be found online at www.ronniewallacelong.com.
Mr. Long, his family, and his supporters continue to have faith in God that justice will finally be served.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
