Bethlehem University: Celebrating 40 years of perseverance
Largely celebrated in the U.S., one wouldn't believe that inside the culinary arts department of Bethlehem University, Chefs and students of the hotel management program would be preparing an exquisite traditional turkey dinner for the staff and faculty members.
It was indeed just that, with the entire culinary students working over a three day period to present what their months of hard work and training taught them, a delicacy wonderful to the eye and mouth.
Many at the University had a lot to be thankful for and it was indeed the right Holiday to share ones story of hope and success. At this Catholic Institute, Vice Chancellor Br. Peter Bray had the following to say:
“It is a time to celebrate and to be thankful. Thankful to God for the enormous blessing this place has been to so many people, thankful to those people who had the foresight and courage to work to establish Bethlehem University; thankful to those who have worked over these forty years to make Bethlehem University what it is today; thankful to the many donors who have enabled Bethlehem University to survive, and above all, thankful for the more than 14,000 alumni who have studied at Bethlehem University and who have influenced so many people as a result. “
At the end of the day, everyone left with a huge smile as the Director of the Hotel Management Mr. Nabil Mufdi, stood proudly admiring the work of his students, who along with Chef Peter Hermantas and Cook Mr. Ibrahim Asakra served with joy the lucky guests.
