Over and over, I hear many individuals talk as if the second amendment is a right to own guns. If bearing arms means owning guns, where do you draw the line, and on what basis? Did our founders anticipate citizens owning military style weapons all to justify self defense? Indeed not. America has a serious problem with guns. After all, over 11,000 deaths occur each year in the US. When will people stop being oblivious? Guns must be used responsibly and I'm not against law abiding citizens owning a gun. However, individuals who refuse to be civil, refuse a mental health evaluation raises a red flag. Above all else, giving citizens access to weapons designed for war is insane.We must act in the interest of protecting the public.
