Studying abroad in Italy at the beginning of the 2012 year was an eye-opening experience, as part of my time away from Johns Hopkins University. A separate experience from Hopkins with my studies in Anthropology, English, and Music, studying abroad allowed me to get in touch my artsy self through Photography, Weaving, Batik, etc. I took endless pictures of my unforgettable moments.
On my last day of classes, I burst out into tears in thinking about the beautiful things I had seen and experienced at such a fast pace… the wonderful friends, professors, and locals I met; my travels to other countries at age 21; and the multimedia project I worked on for my Literary Travels class that tracked my days there and made me reflect of my time from beginning to end. It was truly a blessing.
This picture was taken in Positano of the Amalfi Coast in Italy, during our Easter Weekend. My friends and I were laying on the beach as we saw a couple of girls playing around and taking pleasures in the beauty in Italy. Their motions were so parallel in the pictures that I took of them, that I could certainly tell they were related (outside of their parallel clothing) through their candid motions and carefree behavior.
