More Delays and "Mild Violence" as Party Nominations get Underway

With some parties extending their nominations into today, so far voters have been angered by what seems to be disorganized nomination process amongst the parties.

The violence part is mild though, with most people causing chaos because of these delays. However, one policeman was shot in the leg, as policemen tried to calm the anxiety that was growing. In Kisumu, curde weapons were found in a PSV Vehicle.

Even as we enter the last day, some places like Nyeri are yet to receive ballot papers

Voting also halted in Mbooni, Makueni County as names of some MP aspirants are missing

TNA, URP and Wiper Party will be conducting their primaries in areas that did not take part yesterday owing to late arrival of voting materials.

In Pokot County, URP nominations kicked off at 6:00 am.
In areas where the primaries were conducted yesterday, the process was concluded and results announced but in other areas, tallying is still on

In Samburu County, both TNA and ODM completed the exercise and results announced.
CORD nominations ended in 44 Counties except in some areas within three counties, Migori, Homabay and Kisumu Counties.

In Machakos and Makueni Counties, the Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) wound up the exercise.
However, TNA nominations in Makueni are witnessing a low voter turnout and this has been attributed to poor communication and late arrival of voting materials.

In Mbita, violence erupted with voters who took part in ODM nominations claiming they had been rigged.
In Eldoret, there was confusion with students in public schools reporting to school without knowing schools had been ordered closed for the second day running to enable the primaries to continue.

In Kayole, the names of some aspirants and voters were missing striking confusion to both the aspirants and voters.
In Nyeri County, TNA nominations were yet to take place but officials expressed hope that this will be done by noon, today.
