SNOW BEAUTY IN THE UK

Snow, snow, snow everywhere: on the road, rooftop, trees and almost everywhere. South England and Wales is really white despite the rich multi ethnicity of the United Kingdom. Racial parties of the UK can claim that this is the real Britain. But this is not the reality of all year around. UK is really a multi ethnic community: White, Asian, Afro Caribbean and others living together like a garland of different flowers. The snow is once in a time situation.
The heavy snowfall of yesterday disrupted the traffic, forced the closure of some train and Euro star service and over 400 flights. The schools were closed in most of the places in South East including Wales, which experienced heavy snowfall since Thursday night.
Roads are being cleared and traffic is gradually resuming despite the freezing temperature in some parts including Reading, where the weather is -2 degree Celsius and expected double tomorrow and Monday. The weather is completely cloudy and dull and there is some light snow in some places today. Cold wind is reported to continue for some days making the cold winter to prolong for some more days.
Very icy condition has created the environment very dangerous for the motorists as the temperature is falling to below zero. Weather forecast officials have warned of more snow in the coming days including with light snow tonight in many parts of the UK.
“Beauty is only to see” is wrong as people are playing in the snow changing the saying “beauty is to see and touch too.” Despite the chilly weather, people mostly children and teenagers have been enjoying the first snowfall of this winter playing in the parks and open spaces throwing snowballs and they are also doing the creative artistic things too.
I saw people making big snowball, snowman and igloo at the local park: Palmer Park. People enjoy the beauty of snow. “This is really nice to see snowfall,” said Mrs Binita Gyawali, who came to the UK from Nepal only a few months ago. This is her first experience of snow. Most of the people think that Nepal is a country of snow because of the snowy peaks including the Mount Everest, 8,848 meter high, the highest mountain of the world- and in fact 8 out of the 14 highest peaks of over 8,000 meter height of the world are in Nepal. But there is no snow in the mid hills and the plain land of the southern belt bordering with India. “This is really beautiful,” she said hurriedly running to play in the snow with her friends and family.

Snow, snow everywhere but not a place to ski is the reality of UK today.
