My sincere condolences to those who were left behind. As a mother, stepmother and grandmother of 5 beautiful granddaughters ranging in age from 15 - 1 I don't even want to try to imagine how the families feel at this point in time.
Now is the time for grieving, praying and ensuring all of the other children recover from the trauma.
My thoughts and prayers are also with the first responders who will, in all likelihood, not be able to get the sight of those 18 little bodies out of their minds for years to come, without shedding tears.
This is not the time for politics, for discussions on gun control or mental health. This is the time for grieving a great loss and for supporting those who need it.
The time to discuss all of the issues that may have prevented this tragedy will be in the near future, when the anger has subsided and good sense returns.
