Three photographs of early Perseid Meteors taken from the New Jersey Shore this week.
The Perseid shower peaks this weekend, but many are already seeing them, and I was able to photograph several of them over a couple of clear nights.
All of these photos were taken with a Canon Digital camera on a tripod taking exposures about ten seconds long.
Clouds can be seen in some, in others the Mily Way can be seen. One shows two meteors in the same photo, thats not a composite, I got lucky.
If you look closely you can see the meteor trails begin as green in color. Many end with a bright 'burst'.

Find any place away from obstructions and lights and be patient and you may see one.
