Evergreen, COLORADO – This Front Range Mountain community west of Denver came from the flooding disaster mostly unscathed as it only received 8.25 inches of rain in the seven day period that caused all the devastating flooding – compared to 22 inches further north along the Front Range.      None the less there was minor damage compared to the devastation in northeastern Colorado. Cactus Jack’s, a well-known downtown restaurant and bar with a deck on the Bear Creek was condemned when the creek flooded the building and undercut the deck. Numerous roads and bridges washed out and a few homes with flooding. As of today, Bear Creek is at the level and speed it was Thursday night.      Here are a few videos showing the flooding:      Bear Creek cutting through downtown Evergreen: http://youtu.be/gdch9PCxZJY      Bear Creek at night through downtown Evergreen: http://youtu.be/hVSxxa8mFQQ      Damage at Cactus Jack’s: http://youtu.be/_tXT1eV-ySs      Upper Bear Creek Rd west of the Evergreen Lake: http://youtu.be/_tXT1eV-ySs      Evergreen Fire Rescue sandbagging a house in the flood waters: http://youtu.be/4o7-qS0kgQo      Photo and Videos by Matt Swinden
