I love taking photos of wildlife and had heard about this wonderful dam in Maryland where many eagles gather. My daughter and I decided to visit Conowingo Dam and check out the eagles. Apparently it's a very popular spot for photographers. When we arrived their were over a hundred photographers all along the dam taking photos. When I set up my equipment I soon learned why. The eagles sit in the trees behind the photographers and periodically fly over the water and grab a fish to eat. What makes this interesting is usually another one or two eagles would follow the fishing eagle and then try to steal the fish the eagle had. We watched the eagles drop their fish several times. I am looking forward to making another trip to Connowingo Dam and visit the eagles again.
